We endeavor to provide our clients with a full range of services dealing with the historic environment by bringing to each project the following essential qualities through a dedicated project team of highly qualified and experienced professionals:

David Humphreys

David Humphreys

Director

David holds a degree in Landscape Architecture, Masters Degree in Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management and the RICS Graduate Diploma in Building Conservation. He is a Chartered member of the Landscape Institute, a member of the Association for Project Management, the Project Management Institute and the Institute of Historic Building Conservation. He has over 25 years experience in both public service and private practice in Ireland and the UK. David spent 8 years working as a Senior Professional Officer with English Heritage.


Denis O'Malley

Conservation Engineer

Denis is a senior consultant with over 25 years experience in both public service and private practice in Ireland. Denis is a Chartered member of the Institute of Engineers in Ireland. He specializes in conservation engineering, procurement of works and sustainable development. Denis is particularly interested in energy efficiency in historic buildings.


Richard Davis

Conservation Architect

Richard is a senior consultant with over 25 years experience in conservation architecture. Prior to working in private practice, he worked in English Heritage as Principal Conservation Architect and Regional Director. Richard has worked on conservation projects such as Paddington Station in London and on projects in South Africa and China. In addition to work in private Practice, Richard Davies is currently Director of COTAC, The Conference on Training in Architectural Conservation and Chairman of the Joint Committee for National Vocational Qualifications in Building Conservation. He has been UK representative on Council of Europe committees on Heritage and Crafts, and Training Reform and of the D.E.T.R. Building Regulations Advisory Committee. He is a member of ICOMOS (UK), the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association, the advisory committee for the ICCROM international course on Urban Conservation Management in Rome.

Ted is a senior consultant whose primary degree is in Irish history. He has over 30 years experience both as a researcher and teacher.


Don O'Malley

Office Manager and Planning Consultant

Don trained in business administration and has over 10 years experience working in private practice. He has a special interest in managing the planning permission process of projects


Deirdre Humphreys

Deirdre trained as a products design specialist in the Limerick College of Art and now heads up our interiors and artefacts section.

Noel is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology and University of Dundee. He has over 10 years experience. Noel has a special interest in concrete and other modern materials and their impact on historic fabric.

Roisin is a graduate of the University of Limerick and she oversees and manages all our H&S responsibilities including the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP), preparing H&S plans etc.


Mike O'Malley

Project Manager

Mike is a graduate of business administration from LIT and has over 10 years experience working in private practice. He has a special interest in managing complex building conservation projects.


Other Staff

In addition to the above consultants we normally employ a number of students on work experience/holidays, who are pursuing studies at university including engineering and architecture. This enables us to give students an opportunity to gain first hand practical knowledge and experience of working with historic buildings.
